Vocational training

Vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration

What do tax advice and auditing have to do with IT? Even if these areas don't really go together at first glance, our work is no longer conceivable without modern IT. For many years, we have been consistently following the path of digitalisation and are now so well positioned that no one has to bother with heavy files full of paper. We will continue to pursue this path in the next few years and are therefore looking for trainees with a vocational diploma and good grades in German, information technology and maths, who enjoy working with and on PCs, have fun solving technical problems and are communicative. If you also have a keen interest in new IT trends, we look forward to receiving your application.

1 More exciting tasks year by year of your vocational training

The combination of theory and practice makes your vocational training perfectly balanced. At vocational school, you will learn the technical basics two days a week and on three days your experienced colleagues will teach you a lot of practical IT know-how. This is how you will become a qualified specialist with the best career prospects.

In your first year of vocational training, you will first get to know the most important basics of the profession and the constantly growing IT landscape in our company. This should always be state-of-the-art and the devices must not only be set up, but also continuously maintained and regularly replaced. With over 200 members of staff using laptops, iPhones and other mobile devices, there is a lot to do. The installation and technical set-up of office workplaces for new staff plays a particularly important role until all installations are prepared and everything is running smoothly.

After you have worked more in the background in the first months of your vocational training, your view will expand in your second year to the IT system environment and you will take on tasks in the areas of firewall, back-up, server and networks.

In addition, you will be involved in active technical support for our staff and will be available for all questions regarding IT problems. You will not only have to deal with "cool" technology, but you will also have a lively exchange with many colleagues from all areas of our company. In the third year of your vocational training, you will finally take on smaller projects (e.g. putting servers into operation, partial areas of larger projects in the IT department) and work on these more or less independently.

Your vocational training lasts three years. It includes an intermediate exam after one and a half years and a final exam after three years. You can also take it after 2.5 years if you do particularly well.

As a trainee, you will be part of our IT team, which currently consists of 13 colleagues. In addition to the classic technical support issues in the areas of IT compliance, IT auditing and data analytics are also dealt with - often together with colleagues from the specialist departments. Furthermore, technological innovations are reviewed, tested and rolled out throughout the company in projects.

2 Why you should do your vocational training at Stückmann

You've made up your mind and want to do your vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration? Then you should think carefully about what is particularly important to you. At Stückmann we have plenty of good arguments for doing your vocational training with us - from the high status to the good support concept to the modern equipment.

Admittedly, the work of our IT department is hardly visible to our colleagues and clients - but it is clearly noticeable. The reason is that without a faultlessly functioning IT infrastructure - whether in the office, in the home office or on the road - our staff cannot successfully provide advice and support to our clients. That's why we count on you, already as a trainee, to play your part in solving problems in technical support, for example. And that's not all - even during your vocational training, you will be actively involved in the transformation of our company into an important part of an innovative, digital and modern working world.

In our efficient IT team with currently 13 colleagues, you will not just be a trainee but an important member who will be directly involved in real work processes and exciting projects. You will share an office with an experienced IT specialist from whom you can learn a lot when working on joint tasks and who will of course be happy to answer your questions.

Your other colleagues will also be happy to share their expertise with you - so don't be shy and ask around. Regular team meetings will also give you an overview of the topics that your colleagues have on the table. This will help you understand the company as a whole and broaden your professional horizons. In addition, it is part of our support concept that our IT manager Heinrich Penner and our vocational training manager Heinrich Friesen are located in your immediate vicinity and will always be available when you need them. You can always confide in Mr. Friesen in particular, who will keep an eye on your development and promote it individually.

Of course, what an IT specialist trainee should not be without is fully digital equipment so that you can work as flexibly as possible. That's why we will provide you with an iPad and an iPhone, which you can also use at vocational school and for private purposes.

Selin Uludasdemir and Kevin Schreiber talk about their training as office management assistants and IT specialists for system integration at HLB Stückmann in Bielefeld. Both have now successfully completed their training and have been taken on. We are happy that they are still part of the team!

3 You can rely on our support

Vocational training is usually the start of a career in which you first have to find your way around. At Stückmann we will help you in many ways. We have a lot of confidence in you at the same time so we will also involve you in numerous tasks right away. In this way you will be challenged early on according to your abilities, but you will at no time be left to cope on your own.

To make you feel welcome right away and help you settle in quickly, we will welcome you with an introductory day. In the subsequent onboarding events, you will get to know the software used, processes, structures and administrative areas of our company.

Because many things will still be very new for you at the beginning of your vocational training, we want to be close to you. That's why our vocational training manager Heinrich Friesen, our IT manager Heinrich Penner and a representative of the human resources department will sit down with you after a short time to do an initial "stocktaking": Have you settled in? Is everything as you imagined it beforehand? Is there anything we can improve? These are just a few of the many important questions that interest us. During your vocational training, we will meet several times to discuss the status of your training and your wishes.

In addition to these discussions, regular exchanges with other trainees in the company are also important. That's why we promote these contacts, for example, with joint lunches or the annual trainee day, which can be freely designed and organised.

And the more often you exchange ideas with colleagues in "hallway conversations", the more clearly you will feel the togetherness that makes Stückmann so special.

To keep you professionally up-to-date, we are very happy if you attend seminars or courses on certain topics out of self-interest - either directly related to your vocational training or on a topic that interests you and could also be interesting for the law firm. Just talk to your vocational trainer about interesting offers that you have discovered. In addition, we will of course sponsor all the learning materials you need and the preparation courses for your intermediate and final exams so that you can start with a good feeling.

As you can see, even though our trainees only make up a small part of our more than 200 members of staff, the topic of "vocational training" is very important to us. Our goal is to support and promote each trainee individually and to prepare them in the best possible way for their successful completion. Of course, this also applies to you!

High-quality.
Professional.
Structured.

A high professional level is the be-all and end-all of our work. That is why we have adopted the values High-quality. Professional. Structured. as our mottos. Read more about these and our other values, which guide us and which we implement very consciously. Stückmann as an employer

4 What about after your vocational training? We want you to stay with us!

Vocational training often goes by faster than you think. Then the next decision has to be made - what do you want to do next? It's simple - stay with us!

Our goal is to take on trainees directly after their vocational training. This is a win-win situation for both sides. After their final exam, trainees can continue to work in an already familiar setting, e.g. in IT support - including increasing personal responsibility. And we can rest assured that the sensitive topic of "IT" is in the hands of staff trained by us who know exactly what is important for Stückmann in this regard.

Of course, after completing your vocational training you also have the opportunity to become a specialist in a particular field or pursue your own personal IT area of interest. If you want to take up complementary studies or further qualifications, we are happy to support you with generous financial allowances, paid time off for learning and the conversion of overtime into learning time. We are open to your ideas and flexible in implementing them.
