Both the generalist training in the area of auditing and taxation and the specialisation training in taxation are broad-based, involve you in diverse projects right from the start and impart much more than elementary basic knowledge.

 

1 Generalist training or specialisation training? We offer both!

With these two vocational training approaches, we give you the opportunity to steer your professional entry and your career in the desired direction and to give it a secure foundation. Our generalist vocational training in particular offers a professionally unique start to your career, which you can also continue later with a specialisation.

The generalist vocational training in the areas of tax advice and auditing is a strong argument for HLB Stückmann. The comprehensive thematic approach of our training concept will sharpen your view of the big business picture and create an excellent knowledge base.

Accordingly, a wide variety of tasks and issues arise within the scope of our holistic mandate support in the areas of auditing and tax, which make your work particularly multi-faceted and exciting. Gradually your competences will expand and make you an astute all-rounder.

Do you feel more at home in the world of tax and have already set your focus accordingly during your studies? Then we will complement this with an in-depth vocational training in the various disciplines of tax law. Our tax experts will ensure that you gain extensive experience in corporate tax law, but also in related areas of tax law, and develop this knowledge into specialist knowledge in the long term.

Whichever of the two paths you choose, you will benefit from the high professional level in in our law firm, the expert and specialised knowledge within the framework of interdisciplinary cooperation as well as the many years of experience in advising our internationally operating clients from various industries. We offer you the scope and the conditions to continue your future career as a generalist in holistic client support or to pursue your favourite professional topic, e.g. as a specialist in the field of tax advice with an additional focus on one of our special fields (e.g. international tax law, VAT advice).

 

2 A comprehensive training programme and complementary learning formats will make you fit

In addition to intensive preparation for specialist tasks, it is important to us to teach you many other essential contents and skills. We will make you fit for your job in a targeted, varied and practical way.

To make you feel welcome and quickly find your way around, we will start by welcoming you with an introductory day. During the subsequent onboarding events, you will get to know the software used, processes, structures and administrative areas of our organisation.

We will prepare you for the diverse tasks in the tax and audit area with a targeted training and education programme. This includes audit seminars, basic training in tax law, seminars on individual key topics and intensive English language training in small groups.

In addition, there is a regular internal exchange during our specialist conferences "Tax" and "Auditing", which highlight relevant innovations in daily practice and corresponding recommendations for action.

Topics in the area of soft skills or with a strategic character (e.g. project management and client loyalty) are also part of the vocational training. (Virtual) brief events and training videos that present not only current professional but also technological developments round off your holistically oriented curriculum.

3 Individual tutoring and mentoring for your ideal development

Right from the start two experienced staff members will personally take care of you and your vocational training - up to your professional exams and beyond. Both will support you with a sense of proportion and give you plenty of scope for personal development.

Your tutor has already passed his or her professional exams and will help you to get acquainted with us and quickly become part of the Stückmann world. He or she will be your permanent contact person for all specialist and non-specialist topics and will coordinate your structured familiarisation period. Depending on your level of knowledge and experience, he or she will integrate you into suitable mandate and project teams, where you will tackle challenging tasks and gain important know-how through on-the-job training. In this way, your tutor will always keep an eye on your vocational training and further development and will regularly give you targeted feedback on your work results.

As your mentor, one of our partners will support and encourage you with regard to your long-term development and your individual career goals. To this end, he or she will work with you to draw up a development plan (professional exams, career) that takes your individual wishes into account. In addition, together you will determine focal points of tasks, internal responsibilities and the next steps of targeted training and further education. Your mentor will use appraisal interviews to give you helpful feedback and positive encouragement along the way.

Completion of a relevant Master's study programme, professional qualifications as a tax adviser as well as a public auditor and relevant certified special qualifications (e.g. CVA, CiSA) are important milestones in your professional path in consulting.
