Sustainability at HLB Stückmann: Working together for a greener future
In times of climate change, it is becoming increasingly urgent for companies to take an active role in environmental protection. We at HLB Stückmann have also been working intensively on this topic and on our carbon footprint. We are proud to announce that Stückmann will be officially CO2-neutral from 1 January 2023!
In order to actively promote our regional climate protection efforts, we took part in the tree planting campaign organised by KlimaWoche Bielefeld e.V.. Our employees had the opportunity to participate by donating a tree, with HLB Stückmann donating the first 100 trees. As an additional initiative, we decided to plant another tree for every donor. In September 2023, we symbolically handed over 383 trees to KlimaWoche Bielefeld e.V.
On a golden Sunday in October, many volunteers made their way to the planting area in Bielefeld's Köckerwald forest and enthusiastically planted the young trees as part of the KlimaWoche Bielefeld e.V. tree planting campaign. This impressive campaign shows how committed people can work together for an important cause.
Our 383 donated trees, including English oak, hornbeam, Douglas fir, sweet chestnut and small-leaved lime, have now been planted in suitable locations and will hopefully grow into a valuable mixed forest in the coming years. This action is not only symbolic, but also actively contributes to improving the local ecosystem.
