Entry as a lawyer
You have done it, you have passed the second state law exam? Excellent, congratulations! And now you finally want to get started and put your knowledge to practice in an exciting job? We have just the job for you if you are interested in tax law, company law and criminal tax law. As a lawyer you can immerse yourself in these areas and become an important pillar of our law firm with your professional skills and commitment. Have you already completed internships or legal clerkships in these areas of law? Great, but that is not a prerequisite for your joining us.

Even though tax law and tax law advice may not seem particularly exciting to many lawyers at first glance, the opposite is in fact the case - and our lawyers consistently deal with exciting and complex tax law cases. You are welcome to come and see for yourself! You can decide later in which of our areas of specialisation you would like to work in the future, but you are welcome to get to know them better first.
As a sister company of HLB Stückmann, BKS Rechtsanwälte is the tax law firm specialising in the following areas of law:

2 We will make you top fit with training courses in various learning formats
In order for you to become a successful lawyer, we will equip you with the necessary practical tools. This includes professional knowledge as well as important soft skills. We combine both into a targeted training concept that will support you perfectly in the working world.
Of course, we want you to feel welcome right away and find your way around as quickly as possible. During an introductory day, you can gather your first impressions, which will be deepened during subsequent onboarding events. Here you will get to know our structures, our processes and the software we use.
In addition to your on-the-job training, you will acquire a lot of important professional knowledge in internal and external training courses that we will select together with you. These include training on individual key topics (e.g. corporate tax law or VAT law) or intensive English language training in small groups.
A completely different learning format is the regular internal exchange with all the lawyers in our law firm. Current topics and judgements will be presented, explained and discussed and you will learn a lot - after all, real examples are often the best way to learn.
We will also keep in mind that you will be trained in soft skills such as project management and client loyalty and you will have many opportunities to apply your newly acquired knowledge in practice.

3 Tutoring and mentoring will bring you forward in a targeted way
Personal support during your vocational training is very important to us. That is why two competent contact persons will take care of this - your mentor and your tutor. Both will keep an eye on your individual competencies and goals and ensure that you have plenty of scope for personal development.
To ensure that you settle in quickly and easily at BKS Rechtsanwälte, your tutor will support you from your very first day at our law firm. He or she is an experienced lawyer who has also successfully passed the tax adviser exam and is happy to share his or her own experience with you. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact your tutor, who will help you with specialist and non-specialist topics and coordinate your structured familiarisation period. For this purpose, you will be assigned tasks that correspond to your respective level of knowledge and experience and are to be completed in specifically selected project teams. This way, your tutor can keep an eye on your vocational training and control it individually as well as assess your work results and potential.
As your mentor, one of our partners at our company will support you with your long-term development and your individual career goals. Together with him or her, you will draw up a development plan (professional exams, career), in which above all your ideas and wishes will be taken into account. In addition, you will jointly determine focal points and internal responsibilities as well as the next steps for targeted training and further education. Your mentor will provide you with goal-oriented feedback and positive encouragement in constructive appraisal interviews.
