HLB Stückmann has engaged in a social project by collecting donations in kind for the Bielefeld girls' shelter
The Community Day is an initiative of the globally active network HLB International, on which the partners and employees of the law firms take a day to get involved in social projects at their location.
This year we collected donations in kind for the Bielefeld girls' shelter. Mädchenhaus Bielefeld e.V. supports and counsels young women who have experienced sexualised, physical and psychological violence.
In the week from 5th to 8th October, HLB Stückmann called upon the entire staff and their families to support the Mädchenhaus Bielefeld e.V. with donations in kind. The donation campaign brought together some useful household items for the girls' shelter. In addition, the law firm purchased hygiene products such as bath towels for the social institution.
The Bielefeld girls' shelter counsels and supports girls and young women who have experienced sexualised, physical and psychological violence.
Girls and young women are supported with various offers to regain protection and security and to develop self-determined future perspectives.

The girls' shelter reminds us that we cannot close our eyes to the suffering of girls and women but that we must provide help for them.
